Lachlan does not want to spoil Isabella because she is helpless. He wants to spoil her because she deserves beauty after surviving hell.
And fuck me, I wanted to give her every beautiful thing she’d never had.
Not because she needed saving.
Because she deserved to be spoiled rotten.
~Lachlan Byrnes, Eyes Never Lie
About this Lachlan Byrnes quote
This Lachlan Byrnes quote shows the softest edge of a very dangerous man. In Eyes Never Lie, Lachlan’s desire to care for Isabella is not about turning her into a fragile thing. It is about recognizing everything she has been denied and wanting to give her beauty, comfort, freedom, and indulgence because she deserves them. This post is excellent for readers who love protective mafia heroes, princess treatment, wounded heroines, and dark romance where spoiling a woman becomes an act of rebellion against everything that hurt her.
