Even covered in blood and close to disaster, Isabella’s attitude hits Lachlan exactly where it should not.
That little flash of attitude made me want to kiss her, which was inconvenient as hell at the moment.
Turns out, a woman rolling her eyes at me while covered in blood and standing a few yards from a fatal drop was exactly my type.
Good to know.
~Lachlan Byrnes, Eyes Never Lie
About this Lachlan Byrnes quote
This Lachlan Byrnes quote brings wit into the danger of Eyes Never Lie. The scene is bloody, high-risk, and nowhere near romantic in any reasonable sense, which is precisely why Lachlan’s attraction lands so well. Isabella’s attitude cuts through the fear, and Lachlan’s response proves how quickly she becomes his problem, his temptation, and his type. This is a great post for readers who love banter, danger, morally gray heroes, and dark romance couples who flirt too close to the edge.
