This Shipping & Returns Policy applies to purchases made directly through EvieJames.com, operated by Three Sided Publishing, Inc. d/b/a Evie James.

Physical products are shipped within the United States only. In-stock orders generally process within 3–7 business days. Preorders, limited editions, special editions, event pickup items, and custom products may have longer timelines, which will be stated on the product page when applicable.
Signed, personalized, limited-edition, preorder, custom, digital, audiobook, and event-specific items are generally final sale unless the item is damaged due to our fault, defective, made incorrectly, or the wrong item is sent.
Non-personalized physical items may be eligible for return within 14 days after delivery, but only if approved in advance by email and received back in perfect, unused, resaleable condition.
Digital audiobooks are nonrefundable once downloaded or accessed, but we will help resolve delivery or access problems when possible.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies only to purchases made directly through EvieJames.com.
Purchases made through Amazon, Kindle, Audible, Goodreads links, BookFunnel marketplace links, retailers, conventions, bookstores, third-party vendors, or any other outside platform are governed by that retailer’s or platform’s policies. We do not control third-party retailer shipping, pricing, refunds, delivery, account access, download access, or customer-service decisions.
2. Products We Sell
EvieJames.com may sell physical and digital products, including but not limited to:
- Signed books.
- Flat-signed books.
- Personalized or signed-to-name books.
- Limited editions and special editions.
- Preorders.
- Event pickup items.
- Author merchandise.
- Goodie bags and custom items.
- Reading journals.
- Stickers, art prints, or similar author merchandise.
- Downloadable audiobooks delivered through BookFunnel or another delivery partner.
Product availability changes. When signed books, limited editions, merchandise, or other items sell out, they may be removed from the shop or marked unavailable.
3. Shipping Locations
Physical products are currently shipped within the United States only.
We may ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO/military addresses, or similar addresses when a supported carrier and service are available. Some addresses may require USPS delivery or may not be eligible for all shipping services. If we cannot ship to the address provided, we may contact you for an alternate address or cancel and refund the affected portion of the order.
We do not currently offer international shipping through EvieJames.com.
4. Shipping Carriers
Orders may be shipped by USPS or UPS, depending on the shipping address, product type, package size, service availability, and checkout options.
Delivery times are controlled by the carrier. Once a package is accepted by USPS or UPS, we do not control the carrier’s delivery speed, routing, scans, delays, weather disruptions, holiday delays, misrouting, or service interruptions.
5. Shipping Rates and Handling Fees
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout using live carrier rates when available, plus a small handling fee.
We do not generally offer free shipping. Free return shipping may be provided only when a return, replacement, or reshipment is required because of our error or fault.
Sales tax may be collected where required by law and is passed through to the appropriate taxing authority.
6. Processing Times
In-stock physical orders generally process within 3–7 business days after payment is received.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends, holidays, carrier closures, and any announced shop closures.
Processing time is the time needed to prepare, sign, personalize, pack, and deliver the order to the carrier. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.
7. Preorders, Limited Editions, and Special Editions
Preorders ship according to the estimated timeline listed on the product page.
Limited editions, special editions, custom merchandise, event-related items, signed stock, and bundled products may require longer processing or fulfillment timelines. Any known extended timeline will be stated on the product page or in the product description when applicable.
If an estimated shipping timeline changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers using the email address provided at checkout.
8. Shipping Delays
We make reasonable efforts to ship orders within the stated processing or preorder timeline.
If an order cannot ship within the stated timeframe, we may contact you with an updated estimate. Where required, you may choose to accept the delay or cancel the unshipped portion of the order for a refund.
If no shipping timeframe is stated for a physical product, we will make reasonable efforts to ship within 30 days after receiving your completed order and payment information.
9. Tracking and Delivery Confirmation
Tracking information may be provided automatically through WooCommerce, USPS, UPS, or the shipping plugin used at checkout when available.
We do not guarantee that every order will display tracking in the same way, and we do not control carrier scan timing or tracking updates.
If you believe your order has shipped but you have not received tracking information, contact evie@eviejames.com with your order number.
10. Address Accuracy
You are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If you need to change your shipping address, you must contact us at evie@eviejames.com within 2 days after placing the order. We will make reasonable efforts to update the address before shipment, but address changes are not guaranteed.
Once an order has shipped, the shipping address cannot be changed by us.
We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, returned packages, or additional shipping charges caused by incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable addresses provided at checkout.
If an order is returned to us because of an address issue, failed delivery attempt, refused package, or other customer-caused delivery problem, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping charges before the order is reshipped.
11. Order Cancellations
You may request cancellation before your order ships by emailing evie@eviejames.com.
Cancellation is not guaranteed if the order has already been processed, signed, personalized, packed, shipped, or prepared for carrier pickup.
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.
Personalized, custom, limited-edition, event-specific, preorder, or made-to-order items may not be eligible for cancellation once work on the item has begun.
12. Packaging Standards
We take care in inspecting, signing, and packing books before shipment.
Books are generally packed with multiple layers of protection, which may include protective wrap, bubble wrap, cardboard packaging, cushioning material, and other protective materials appropriate for the order.
Packaging methods may vary depending on product type, order size, inventory, carrier requirements, and available materials.
13. Damaged, Defective, Missing, Mis-made, or Wrong Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, missing an item, made incorrectly, or contains the wrong item, contact us at evie@eviejames.com within 7 days after delivery.
Your email must include:
- Your order number.
- Your full name.
- A description of the issue.
- Clear photos of the item.
- Clear photos of the packaging.
- Clear photos of any visible damage, defects, or incorrect personalization.
Claims submitted more than 7 days after delivery may be denied.
If we determine that the issue was due to our fault, a damaged item, a defective item, a mis-made item, or an incorrect shipment, we may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or another reasonable resolution depending on product availability.
If a replacement is unavailable, we may issue a refund for the affected item.
14. Lost Packages and Packages Marked Delivered
If a package is marked “delivered” by the carrier but you have not received it, first check with household members, neighbors, building management, mailrooms, parcel lockers, front desks, and the carrier.
You should also contact the carrier directly to open a missing package inquiry when appropriate.
We may review “marked delivered” issues case by case, but we are not automatically responsible for packages that the carrier confirms as delivered to the address provided at checkout.
15. Returns for Non-Personalized Physical Items
Non-personalized physical items may be eligible for return if all of the following are true:
- You contact us at evie@eviejames.com within 14 days after delivery.
- We approve the return by email before you send the item back.
- The item is not signed to a name, personalized, custom, limited-edition, event-specific, digital, or otherwise final sale.
- The item is returned in perfect, unused, unread, undamaged, resaleable condition.
- The item is returned with any included packaging, inserts, extras, or bundled items when applicable.
Return approval is not guaranteed.
Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or refunded.
16. Final Sale Items
The following items are generally final sale unless they arrive damaged due to our fault, defective, made incorrectly, or the wrong item is sent:
- Signed-to-name books.
- Personalized books.
- Custom items.
- Limited editions.
- Special editions.
- Preorders.
- Event pickup items.
- Event-specific items.
- Bundled items or goodie bags.
- Merchandise made, assembled, or packaged for a specific order.
- Digital audiobooks.
- Downloadable products.
- Access codes or digital delivery products.
- Items marked final sale on the product page.
Because signed and personalized books are created or prepared specifically for the customer, they are not returnable simply because the customer changes their mind.
17. Condition Requirements for Returns
Returned items must be received in perfect, unused, unread, undamaged, resaleable condition.
We may refuse a return or reduce/deny a refund if the item is:
- Bent, creased, crushed, torn, stained, scratched, warped, dented, or water-damaged.
- Written in, marked, highlighted, stickered, altered, or defaced.
- Exposed to smoke, strong odors, pet damage, mold, mildew, or other contamination.
- Missing included extras, inserts, packaging, or bundle components.
- Damaged because of improper return packaging.
- Otherwise not in resaleable condition.
Customers are responsible for packaging return items carefully.
18. Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error, a damaged item caused by our fault, a defective item, a mis-made item, or an incorrect shipment.
If the return is due to our error or fault, we may provide a prepaid return label, reimburse approved return shipping, offer replacement shipping, or provide another reasonable resolution.
We do not reimburse unapproved shipping costs.
19. Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method or through whatever refund method WooCommerce and the payment processor allow.
Refunds may take additional time to appear depending on the payment processor, bank, or card issuer.
Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the refund is due to our error or fault.
If only part of an order is returned or refunded, only the eligible portion of the order will be refunded.
20. Digital Audiobooks and Downloadable Products
Digital audiobooks and downloadable products are delivered through BookFunnel or another digital delivery partner.
Digital products, audiobook files, download links, and access codes are nonrefundable once downloaded, accessed, redeemed, or delivered, unless required by law or unless there is a technical issue we cannot reasonably resolve.
If you experience a technical problem with digital delivery, contact evie@eviejames.com. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve access or delivery issues, which may include resending delivery information, confirming the purchase, or directing you to BookFunnel support.
We are not responsible for device limitations, internet connection problems, user account issues, customer email filtering, or third-party platform restrictions, but we will try to help when possible.
21. Event Pickup Orders
Some products may be offered for event pickup, signing pickup, convention pickup, or local pickup when specifically stated on the product page.
If you do not pick up an event pickup item, contact evie@eviejames.com.
If the item was not signed, personalized, customized, or otherwise prepared specifically for you, we may refund the item at our discretion.
If the item was signed, personalized, customized, limited, event-specific, or otherwise prepared for you, it is your responsibility to pay any additional shipping charges if you want the item mailed to you. Shipping an unclaimed event pickup item is a manual process and may take extra time.
Unclaimed event pickup items may not be held indefinitely.
22. Product Availability and Inventory Errors
Products are subject to availability.
We make reasonable efforts to keep inventory accurate, but errors may occur. If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we may contact you to offer a replacement, partial refund, full refund, store credit, or another reasonable option.
If an item sells out, it may be removed from the shop without notice.
23. Pricing, Product, and Checkout Errors
We reserve the right to correct product descriptions, prices, shipping charges, taxes, inventory, images, options, and checkout errors.
If an error affects your order, we may contact you before fulfillment, cancel the order, issue a refund, or offer another reasonable resolution.
24. Sales Tax
Sales tax may be collected where required by law. Sales tax is calculated through the website’s checkout tools and passed through to the appropriate taxing authority.
Tax rates, taxable products, and tax obligations may vary by location and may change over time.
25. Third-Party Retailer Purchases
This policy does not apply to purchases made through third-party retailers or platforms, including but not limited to Amazon, Kindle, Audible, Goodreads links, BookFunnel marketplace links, bookstores, convention vendors, or other retailers.
For third-party purchases, you must contact the retailer or platform where you made the purchase.
We cannot issue refunds, change shipping addresses, replace items, manage downloads, or control customer-service decisions for purchases made outside EvieJames.com.
